Friday 29th September saw the inaugural Northwest Veterinary Specialists Symposium held at Chester Zoo.
With a day full of presentations on subjects such as hydrocephalus from presentation to surgery, patellar luxation surgery and neurological examinations from four of NWVS’s prominent surgeons and including a fabulous presentation from keynote speaker Professor Dick White on laryngeal diseases, the day was both informative and educational.
The opportunity to meet with our local vets is key to our continued progression at NWVS and we were delighted to find the time over lunch and a later hog roast to chat with them and find how we can work together for the benefit of our patients.
We must make reference and thanks to our list of sponsors who supported us throughout the event, they include Bbraun, Vygon, Elanco, Prescott’s Surgical, Jurox and Veterinary Instrumentation.
Liz Cousins, Hospital Manager at Northwest Veterinary Specialists explains her thoughts on the Symposium,
“The Symposium has given us the fantastic opportunity to bring together a major number of local veterinary practices together to join us in a full day of CPD and networking.
The presentations were very well received and we must thank Professor White for joining us, Chester Zoo for putting on such a seamless and enjoyable day and the entire team at NWVS for making this possible.
We are already looking forward to next year where we hope to welcome similar numbers for what will now become a yearly event.”
