Rachel gained her veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1991, followed by the RCVS certificate in small animal surgery, RCVS certificate in veterinary radiology, and progressed to become a European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery. She’s has also been awarded a Masters in Human Oncology.
Following the completion of three years soft tissue surgical training at RVC, Rachel worked at University College Dublin as a locum soft tissue surgeon, and then at the University of Liverpool for 18 years as senior lecturer in soft tissue surgery
26 years on after becoming a specialist, Rachel still loves working as a soft tissue surgeon.
Outside of work she can be found hill walking or tending her chickens and trying to stop them digging up her plants.
