Registered Veterinary Nurse

We are looking to recruit both full and part time experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses to join our friendly team on a permanent basis and assist in providing high standards of client and inpatient care. Our brilliant team of talented nurses work closely with our specialist clinicians to help us in our mission to deliver the best small animal referral care in the North West.

Northwest Veterinary Specialists is a leading specialist referral small animal hospital located in modern facilities in Sutton Weaver within an easy commute from Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, Runcorn and Warrington.

We are a true multidisciplinary hospital with departments in orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging. Each of the clinical disciplines is staffed to European Diplomate or RCVS Specialist standards. The hospital is well equipped and provides excellent inpatient facilities with qualified RVNs and veterinary interns onsite 24/7. Imaging includes computed radiography, fluoroscopy (with digital subtraction and roadmapping), ultrasonography and on-site MRI and CT.

Potential candidates will have a passion for high standard of patient care and experience in assisting with a range of surgical and medical procedures, anaesthesia, triaging and dealing with emergencies.  Working alongside our highly qualified and experienced teams you will develop excellent working relationships with colleagues across the hospital. Knowledge of referral work would be advantageous, but is not essential as thorough training will be provided.

As a market leader in small animal care we offer a supportive and friendly working environment together with plenty of career development opportunities and an excellent package and benefits that includes a competitive salary and holiday allowance; contributory pension and private medical; professional memberships paid; plus, a personal development plan to support your chosen career pathway with a CPD allowance to achieve this; access to Pets at Home discretionary share schemes and discounts; and, a day off for your birthday.

If you would like to join our happy, professional team and share our passion for delivering outstanding nursing and caring for all our patients as if they were your own, then we would love to hear from you. Please contact Jenny Pearson 01928 711400 or  in complete confidence, to apply or with any questions.

We are always happy to discuss flexible and part time working options, and are an Equal Opportunities Employer.

Competitive salary and colleague benefits such as pension scheme and CPD allowance.
