Marius studied at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, gaining his BVSc in Veterinary Science in 2011. He’s since worked in a range of veterinary sectors including rural practice, welfare practice and small animal first opinion practices until 2019.

He then moved into lecturing and became a practical lecturer at the University of Pretoria from 2019 to end of 2021 for final year students, whilst also providing a clinical ultrasound service to the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital.

Marius is interested in all aspects of imaging, and hopes to further explore interventional radiology.

At home, he has a Canis Africanis dog, which he adopted from the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital, who nursed the dog back to health after she was abandoned as a puppy. Marius loves spending time outdoors with his wife and young son.
