Mary Marrington

Head of Oncology

MA, VetMB, CertSAM, DipECVIM-CA, (Onc), MRCVS, RCVS and European Specialist in Small Animal Oncology

Mary graduated from Cambridge University in 2002 following which she spent 5 years in practice at the RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital. In 2007 she joined the University of Liverpool to start a 3-year residency in Oncology where she was subsequently employed as a senior lecturer in veterinary oncology.  In 2008 she obtained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine.  In 2011 she became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) and is recognised as a European & RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Oncology. Mary joined Northwest Veterinary Specialists in 2016 and established the oncology service at the hospital. Mary is interested in all aspects of clinical oncology and haematology and her main research is in cancer therapeutics in canine and feline patients. Outside work she enjoys spending time with her family and 2 dogs Bingo and Skye.
