Valentina Granziera

Resident in Oncology

Valentina graduated in Veterinary Medicine in Pisa, Italy, in 2015. She has always been interested in oncology, and during her final year at Vet School came to the UK to write an experimental thesis on the use of electrochemotherapy in feline squamous cell carcinomas. After graduation she moved to the Uk where she worked in a first opinion practice treating seeing both general medicine and oncology cases. Her enthusiasm for oncology continued to grow and she completed  a GP certificate in Oncology in 2020. In 2020 she moved to a very busy mixed referral-first opinion hospital just outside of Leeds,  to join their  Oncology department. In 2021  she undertook a rotating internship followed by an oncology specialistic internship at a large referral hospital In Wakefield, as these were the first steps towards becoming an oncology specialist. Over this time she developed further experience in general medical oncology as well as electrochemotherapy and radiation therapy. Valentina joined Northwest Specialists in 2022 as an oncology resident. Her main interests are immunotherapy, electrochemotherapy and nutrition in cancer therapy. In her free time, she likes cooking, herbal teas and exploring the countryside with her two dogs.
