Vanessa Rupp
Anaesthesia Clinician
Vanessa graduated from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich in 2019. She completed a 15‑month rotating internship at the Small Animal Surgical and Gynaecological Clinic at LMU Munich, followed by a 3‑month internship in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. She began her ECVAA Residency in March 2021 and completed it in February 2025.
Before joining NWVS, Vanessa worked as an anaesthesia and analgesia clinician at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, managing complex referral and emergency cases and supporting teaching and clinical training.
Her clinical interests include anaesthesia for high‑risk and emergency patients, advanced multimodal analgesia, locoregional techniques, and anaesthesia for exotic and wildlife species.
Vanessa has two cats who moved with her from Germany to the UK. Outside of work, she enjoys quiet time at home, reading, and getting outdoors for long walks and hiking.
