NWVS Receptionists are going for Gold!

10 August 2021 / General

Our fabulous team of receptionists at NWVS are making an Olympian effort to capture gold and prove our practice is perfect.

We’ve set our sights on achieving the top award from the British Veterinary Receptionist Association (BVRA).

The BVRA is a not-for-profit membership organisation working to recognise and raise the status of veterinary receptionists within the UK’s veterinary profession.

Our team in Runcorn have already earned the BVRA’s bronze award and are now actively working towards achieving silver.

Receptionist Jill Oldfield said: “Ultimately, our goal is to reach the highest level possible and gain a prestigious gold award.

“The BVRA focuses on the interests of veterinary receptionists across the UK and sets the standard for them.

“It is also dedicated to evolving the receptionist’s role and career progression by up-skilling through affordable CPD, training and BVRA certification.

“Another important role of the BVRA is acting as a networking hub for veterinary receptionists to share their experiences and expertise to help each other learn and progress.

“So, signing up to their accreditation scheme is very rewarding and worthwhile; helps raise standards and ensures our patients and clients receive the best possible care at NWVS.”

Here at Northwest Veterinary Specialists, we provide specialist referral services to veterinary practices in North West England and North and Mid-Wales.

We offer multi-disciplinary care in anaesthesia and analgesia, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, oncology, orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery and veterinary physiotherapy.
